Founded in May 2010 by Christoph Budelmann to give his part-time job a solid foundation, Budelmann Elektronik turned into a solidly growing company and established itself in different business sectors. Originally focusing on the development of electronics it soon became evident that there was a growing demand for embedded software and entire electronic systems. As a result qualified personnel could be employed and the company moved to bigger premises. In 2012 the enterprise was turned into a limited liability company (GmbH) and Jeannine Budelmann became part of the general management. In 2015 we invested in some production machines that make almost an entire in-house production possible. Contrary to start-ups we rely on organic growth without external financing. Thus, we are able to be a reliable partner for our employees and customers. That’s what we stand for with our name.
Dr. Christoph Budelmann (born in 1985) turned his hobby into a profession. He studied electrical engineering and information technology at University of Darmstadt and Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l’Electronique et des ses Application in Cergy-Pontoise, France. He is the author of numerous academic works in the field of embedded systems and writes a regular column in the professional magazine Vending Management which deals with new technologies for vending machines. In 2015, he was appointed to Hochschule Rhein-Waal to teach “Industrial Manufacturing of Electronics”, talking about current manufacturing processes and technologies of electronics as well as about production-oriented design. In 2017, Dr. Christoph Budelmann was awarded a doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) in the department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Bremen on the subject Intelligent Sensor Nodes Powered over Fiber for Cost-Effective Applications. In addition, he is member of the industry and research committee of the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) and voluntarily works as a jury member in North Rhine-Westphalia for the youth science competition “Jugend forscht” which he had won on national level in the category technology in 2005.
