Sensor suit being tested in science TV show
Under the lead of Budelmann Elektronik, a research group has developed a sensor suit called SIRKA. It helps to recognize physical overload and points out alternative motion patterns for employees working in dockyards and emergency services. Integrated sensors measure the movements of the worker and give a warning during harmful movements. For a TV report for a German science television program (“Wissen vor 8 Zukunft”), the suit and its functionality are being tested. It is great to see the suit prove its functionality and that months of hard work are finally paying off. Click on the video to see how host Adrian Pflug tries the sensor suit.
